Lebanon FCU generated over $2,000,000 of loan volume in 2009 with a comprehensive marketing campaign.
In 2009, Lebanon FCU wanted to design a loan campaign that went against all the negative “tough economic times” campaigns that many businesses were advertising. CU ink brainstormed and came up with a superhero-centric marketing campaign. The superhero helps the Lebanon community to “fight tough economic times.” This campaign offered low rates on Home Equity and Auto Loans. Through multiple media channels – newsletter, newspaper, posters, direct mail, lawn signs, Facebook, website, and even a life-sized cut-out – Lebanon FCU carried out the promotion in two waves. The first wave hit in the early summer of 2009 and the second in the late fall. Lebanon FCU had set a goal of $1.2 million in loan volume at the beginning of the project. The Credit Union ended up generating over $2.3 million through the end of 2009 exceeding the initial goal by 99%. This comprehensive campaign was a huge success for Lebanon FCU.
